The Perth Piping Centre was started as the brainchild of Mr Ron Young, who, after starting and running a successful classical music store in Perth, Western Australia. After some time he saw a gap in the market in his passions of piping and drumming which would provide high quality and in stock Piping and drumming supplies.
After years of successfully running the supply aspect of Pipes, Drums and accessories, he started the music tuition aspect of the business, brining in world class players to instruct all manner of piper, from beginner and social pipers, to highly competitive musicians. Since that time the music program has grown to one of the largest in the state of Western Australia.
In early 2026, and due to the considerable growth, Ron approached his lead tutor, Mr Hamish Cotton with the opportunity to drive the Perth Piping Centre into the next step in it's evolution.
Hamish took over running of the business in January 2025, and seeks to expand the Perth Piping Centre to even better support the piping and drumming community more broadly by using his knowledge and experience to keep developing talent, and provide Value for money instruments and accessories to pipers and drummers worldwide.

Rather than offering one service or another, we want to combine as many and make our clients' lives easy and carefree.
